This week I had the pleasure of immersing myself in the world of Alessandra Taccia as I worked on an article for Remodelista. For several years now I’ve admired the way Alessandra celebrates the small moments of life through her blog La Casita. In her quiet reverence for the well-made object, her appreciation for the process of creating something by hand, or simply in her commemoration of the light coming though the window, Alessandra creates a ritual of the every-day. For me it serves as a reminder that life or design is not an end-game, but a journey. And that true happiness lies not in perfection, but in being present every step of the way.
