This weekend was a celebration of life.
We held my Grandmother‘s service complete with remembrances, readings, and her favorite songs. It was a celebration of a well-loved lady.
Afterwords the weekend was spent with family on my Aunt’s lawn. There we delighted in new life all around. A family of foxes with five kits under the barn on the north side; bunnies in the brambles to the south. A baby chipmunk played in the middle, while brilliant yellow warblers and dazzling orange orioles put the colors of the setting sun to shame.
Gramma, who cherished animals, would have loved it.
Meanwhile, pink flowers, her favorites, seemed everywhere in bloom.
