These stunning images are from Freunde von Freunden, an “international interview magazine that portrays people of diverse creative and cultural backgrounds” in their environments. Captured in vivid photography and candid interviews, these portraits include not only the subject’s homes and studios, but their entire landscape, including cities and towns. The results are portraits so comprehensive, visceral, and real that the subjects seem to come to life on the page.
Pictured here are photo excerpts from just two of FvF’s many amazing interviews: that of Berlin-based photographer Magnus Reed; as well as organic farmer Rolf Henke. I encourage you to check out the entire collection on their website or via their recently released book.
