When I recently discovered Purpose Inc. on another random Etsy browse, I was at first drawn to the seamless elegance of their forms. But then I saw the profile pictures. Whoa! Wow!
At its best furniture should be sculpture: meant to be viewed in the round, as dynamic from one side as is it from the next. Purpose Inc., or Pinc., takes this axiom of furniture truth and runs with it. Their silhouettes exhibit exquisite balance, an intriguing perspective play, and even a rare bit of wit. Not just with one stand-out piece, but in all. Beautiful, smart and fun, simple in their complexity, they’re a joy to behold.
The Salt Lake City-based firm has only had an Etsy presence since the beginning of this month, so they don’t have much on display as yet. But I, for one, hope Pinc. keeps up the good work and look forward to future creations with baited breath.
