polar bear, handcrafted by Inuit craftsmen
I have a thing for polar bears. Who doesn’t, really? They’re just so iconic. I have long admired this toy who lives in the Discovery Room of the American Museum of Natural History in New York. I snapped the above photo on my last visit, in hopes of finding one for my permanent collection. (Voila! Love Google!)
Then I forgot about him until I saw this equally fabulous bear by one of my favorite Etsy vendors, Every Eskimo. Hand sewn from vintage fabric and trimmed with a little fur and lace, she’s stepping out for a night on the ice. The only problem is, now I can’t decide which one I want! (And then there’s also this great goat.)
